LA WATER HISTORY

Partnering with the Sierra Club, I worked with a small group of volunteers to shine light on the history of water usage over the last 100+ years in Los Angeles County (and surrounding areas). We explored how it effected indigenous groups, early Angelinos, wildlife, and the struggle for water right and conservation.

GRAPHIC ILLUSTRATIONS

Each illustration is an original design based on old photographic examples. The illustrations help to narrate the story as they move along the interactive timeline year after year.

INTERACTIVE EDUCATION

Our goal was to bring the history of Los Angeles water to life, through an interactive web experience. Users can explore 5 primary regions to see the how the control of water changed and the effects it had.
