FABLE & SPIRIT
Restaurant Visual Identity
Inspired by traditional Irish folklore and cuisine, Fable & Spirit is a chef driven restaurant concept and the third for Chef David Shofner and the Coyle family (Wineworks For Everyone and Dublin 4 Gastropub). Fable & Spirit brings a unique dining experience to Newport complete with new world and old world wines, balanced cocktails and a beautifully executed maximalist interior.
For the visual identity, we hand illustrated two spirited hares and crafted an original serif based typeface to drive a sophisticated voice, with a whimsical flare. For colors we leaned into classic black and white to contrast with the wealth of colors and textiles inside the restaurant. For the the secondary palette, we pulled out a welcoming marigold yellow and deep mystical teal inspired by paintings of Celtic goddesses. The marigold can be found on the front door of the establishment and accented along the bar with teal anchoring the main interior of the walls.
